Injectable Treatments at Miami Skin Institute
From the ages of four through nine, Dr. Jegasothy spent every summer vacation with her grandparents. Her grandmother was a master seamstress who designed and sewed bridal headwear, and introduced her to needlepoint, macramé, knitting, and crochet. These early projects taught Dr. Jegasothy patience, manual dexterity, and an appreciation for the precision that comes from careful work with her hands. Those skills later became a natural foundation for her work as an aesthetic injector. Dr. Jegasothy’s career began at ground zero of the FDA approval and early U.S. introduction of both Botox® Cosmetic and Restylane® , the first dermal filler approved in the United States. She was present as these treatments moved into everyday clinical use, and that perspective has shaped how she evaluates injectables today. Over decades of clinical use, she has observed how injectable treatments perform not only immediately, but also over time: how they integrate, accumulate, and influence facial balance across years. At Miami Skin Institute, injectables are never approached as a series of isolated corrections. Dr. Jegasothy evaluates the face as a whole, considering each patient’s facial anatomy, proportions, skin quality, movement, and cosmetic goals. Her emphasis is always on precision, individual facial features, and results that allow patients to continue looking like themselves.Dr. Jegasothy’s Experience With Injectables
Because fillers were still new in the United States, Dr. Jegasothy spent time traveling throughout Europe and South Korea in the early 2000s, where fillers had already been established. She learned from leading physicians there and brought that knowledge back to the United States as injectable treatments continued to develop. She also consulted for Dermik Laboratories®, Inc., who owned Sculptra®, the first “biostimulatory” filler (which means it promotes tissue growth inside areas where it is injected). Dr. Jegasothy subsequently traveled throughout the United States, directly training dermatologists and plastic surgeons in optimal Sculptra® injection techniques. Over the course of her career, she has directly trained more than 500 physicians and has used injectables for anti-aging and facial shaping in thousands of patients at Miami Skin Institute, her office in Miami, as well as the Tribeca skin center in NYC, where she has worked periodically in the summertime for over a decade. Her approach has evolved alongside cosmetic dermatology itself. In the early era of injectable treatments, restoring facial volume was a primary way to address facial aging. Fillers remain important and highly effective tools, but years of clinical observation have demonstrated the importance of reassessing the entire face before repeatedly adding volume to one area. The goal is not simply to fill a line or create more volume. It is to restore or preserve facial harmony in a manner that remains appropriate for the individual patient.Dr. Jegasothy’s Gentle Touch
Dr. Jegasothy is known in Miami for her ethical approach, gentle touch, and natural aesthetic. Injectable treatment requires a detailed understanding of facial anatomy, as well as judgment about when treatment is appropriate—and when a more conservative approach is best. The location, depth, amount, and pattern of each injection affect the final result. Dr. Jegasothy uses injectables precisely and strategically, rather than routinely or excessively. Her goal is not to create a different face, but to help patients look refreshed, balanced, and naturally youthful.Your Injectable Consultation
During your consultation, Dr. Jegasothy will evaluate the areas that concern you in the context of your entire face. She considers your facial structure, movement, skin quality, previous treatment history, and short- and long-term cosmetic goals before recommending a treatment plan. Not every concern requires an injectable, and not every injectable concern requires more product. In many cases, restraint is the most appropriate clinical decision. Ask us at your consultation whether Botox®, Juvéderm®, Sculptra®, or a personalized combination of treatments may be right for you.Cosmetic Injectables in Miami: Botox® Cosmetic & Dermal Fillers

Juvederm® | Voluma®| Volbella®Radiesse®|Sculptra® |Restylane® Fillers
When it comes to the best dermal fillers in Miami , Dr. Jegasothy is a national expert because of her consultancy to the president of Dermik Aesthetics® during the launch of Sculptra® in 2004, a filler used for adding volume to the entire face in order to restore youthful contours. While this concept of restoring volume/youthful contours or enhancing facial features is only now becoming popular, Dr. Jegasothy has been injecting filler in this manner for over a decade.

Combining Cosmetic Injectables in Miami: Fillers and Botox®
