The Miami Skin Institute was named one of the top national training centers for the cosmetic injection technique of Botox Cosmetic® when it was FDA-approved for wrinkles in 2002.

So what about Botox Cosmetic®? Dr, Jegasothy over the years, has personally trained thousands of other physicians, through her national lectures, demonstration sessions, and in-office courses. She is widely considered to be an “expert” Botox Cosmetic® injector. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Jegasothy has treated over 4,000 patients with Botox Cosmetic®, and over 90% remain her patients to this day.

When it comes to dermal filling agents, Dr. Jegasothy is also considered a national expert because of her consultancy to the president of Dermik Aesthetics® during the launch of Sculptra® in 2004, an agent used for global volume filling. While mastering Sculptra® injection techniques, Dr. Jegasothy also became proficient using the hyaluronic acid fillers Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvederm® for more fine line and local filling. Everyone “in the know” in Miami will agree that Dr. Jegasothy is one of the best and most precise filler injectors in the city, and therefore in the nation.

Filling agents can improve upon the beneficial effects of Botox Cosmetic®, causing each treatment to last longer. The calcium-containing deep tissue filler Radiesse® can be used to shape different or more prominent cheekbones, jawlines and chins.
