Botox Cosmetic®/ Dysport® / Xeomin®

These Cosmetic neuromodulators, or “wrinkle-relaxers”, are commonly injected into the superficial muscles of the upper face to soften wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead. Expert injectors such as Dr. Jegasothy also inject these products in the lower face to lift a sagging neck, jawline, and corners of the mouth. They can also be injected to soften wrinkles around the mouth and lengthen an overly-round or “square” jaw.

Dr. Jegasothy continues to sharpen her injection skills by conducting live demonstration sessions at national medical conferences and constant scrutiny of the latest international medical literature. With her extensive early experience as a national trainer for Botox Cosmetic® over a decade ago, Dr. Jegasothy is currently uniquely positioned to counsel you about which cosmetic neuromodulator is best, and in which area. Juvederm®/Voluma®/Volbella®/Radiesse®/Sculptra®/Belotero®/Restylane®

Before and After Botox, Sculptra, and DysportWhen it comes to dermal filling agents, Dr. Jegasothy is also considered a national expert because of her consultancy to the president of Dermik Aesthetics® during the launch of Sculptra® in 2004, an agent used for adding volume to the entire face in order to restore youthful contours. While this concept of restoring volume/youthful contours or enhancing facial features is only now becoming popular, Dr. Jegasothy has been injecting filler in this manner for over a decade. While mastering Sculptra® injection techniques, Dr. Jegasothy also became proficient using the hyaluronic acid fillers Juvederm®, Voluma®, and Restylane® for more fine line and local filling. Everyone “in the know” in Miami will agree that Dr. Jegasothy is one of the best and most precise filler injectors in the city, and therefore in the nation.

Filling agents can improve upon the beneficial effects of Botox Cosmetic®, causing each treatment to last longer. In addition, when used judiciously by an expert injector such as Dr. Jegasothy, dermal fillers can fill your eye hollows, cheeks, temples and other areas sunken by age or weight loss. This re-creation of superficial fullness can create an overall youthful lifting of your facial contours. Again, the possibilities are endless—just ask us at your consultation.

The calcium-containing deep tissue filler Radiesse® can be used to shape different or more prominent cheekbones, jawlines, and chins. It can also be used to enhance or minimize nasal features, reducing the need for surgery or implants in these areas. Most notably, results may also persist for over 2 years!Radiesse Nasal Shaping Before and After

Since founding the Miami Skin Institute, Dr. Jegasothy has injected over 6,000 patients for anti-aging and facial shaping purposes, and the vast majority remain her patients today. As Dr. Jegasothy is known in Miami as the cosmetic dermatologist with an ethical approach, she is also known for her “gentle touch” and “natural aesthetic”. She believes that the judicious use of the neuromudulators (Botox Cosmetic® / Dysport® / Xeomin®) and/or dermal fillers (Juvederm® / Voluma® / Volbella® / Radiesse® / Sculptra® / Belotero® / Restylane®) at the earliest onset of age-related cosmetic skin changes (especially hereditary aging issues) can create a natural "young look" and even delay, or circumvent, invasive surgical procedures altogether!
